School Athletics

On Monday, Tamaki Primary School had our whole school athletics. 

We went to our houses and had running races to win points!

We all sat in our house groups, Tamaki Primary's houses are Tobruk, Alamein, Tripoli and Benghazi.

Waiari, Tsai, Mariah and Carla are all in the same race! Go Room 3!

It looks like Maria is winning the race!

We have been learning to recognise wholes, halves and quarters. 

We cut straws up to represent a whole, half or a quarter.

Running Scared

Lester and Clyde lived in a beautiful pond. One day, a bulldozer came and destroyed their pond.

People built big factories and chimneys on top of Lester and Clyde's pond. Their pond was too dirty to live in!

Lester and Clyde looked for a new pond. They found a pond that they loved, it is their new home!

Seasons

Room 3 has been learning about the seasons of the year. The seasons are autumn, winter, summer and spring.

Summer is hot and the sun is out a lot, we looked at how the summer sun helps plants grow. We also looked at all the different parts of a sunflower.

Toy Shared Lunch

At School we have been learning about old fashioned toys, Rooms 1, 2 and 3 had a shared lunch with all of our toys.

We had so much fun we decided to write letters for Mrs.Barlow to ask if we could have a shared lunch again!
