School Athletics

On Monday, Tamaki Primary School had our whole school athletics. 

We went to our houses and had running races to win points!

We all sat in our house groups, Tamaki Primary's houses are Tobruk, Alamein, Tripoli and Benghazi.

Waiari, Tsai, Mariah and Carla are all in the same race! Go Room 3!

It looks like Maria is winning the race!

Nutella Sandwiches

Today Room 3 went to the staff room to make sandwiches, we learnt how to spread the nutella on the bread evenly.

We even got to eat them! Here is a short video of us making our sandwiches.

Translation

We have been learning about translations in maths. A translation is when a shape or object is moved!

Robin Hood!

As part of our Myths and Legends topic, we read and talked about the story of Robin Hood.

We made WANTED posters and stories about Robin and his Merry Men!

One beautiful day in Sherwood Forest, Robin and the merry men was trying to steal the money from the Sheriff of Nottingham to give back to the poor farmers. The Sheriff was angry at Robin Hood and then the Sheriff went back to his castle. Robin was at Sherwood Forest, the Sheriff sent his soldiers to Sherwood Forest to capture Robin Hood so he can talk to him all about what he has to do in Sherwood Forest. Robin got Sheriff in the bush, Robin got the money from the Sheriff and gave it to the poor farmers because the poor farmers were going to starve to death but Robin gave food to the poor farmers.
